Sheldon Lake State Park, located northeast of Houston, is managed by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department as an environmental learning center. A renewable energy system includes a fixed solar PV array, a tracking solar PV array, a small wind turbine, a solar water heater, and a weather station.
