Monitoring Renewable Energy Systems

No respectable power plant would be built without extensive instrumentation to continuously monitor and validate its performance. The same should be true of renewable energy systems, regardless of their size. As we move toward extensive use of distributed energy generation from renewable sources, there will be a need for extensive monitoring of the performance of these systems. Unfortunately, this is seldom done today. It will be a necessary part of a maturing renewable energy industry.

This page presents a list of renewable energy systems whose performance is being tracked by the WCS Data Logger. To see information about the systems that are currently being monitored, select from the list below. To learn more about the WCS Logger, select items under the "Documentation" heading on the menu.

If you log in with a user ID of "guest" and a password of "guest", additional options will appear in the table below, including the ability to view the configuration of each logger (in "read-only" mode).

If you would like to "test drive" a system, please contact us, and we will assign you a user ID that will allow you full administrator access to one of the test loggers.
